Memories Preserved
I was eight years old at my first-ever wedding. The photographer captured a moment when the flower girl was walking down the aisle as my Dad watched with the proudest and most endearing look. The little lady next to him is my Grandmama beaming with joy and love. The flower girl was me, Shannon Marie Sylvester (SMS). Two very significant people I always dreamed would watch me walk down the aisle just like this. Both passed about 10 years before my wedding day and this is the only photo I will ever have of the two most special people watching me walk down an aisle.
Every single memory I have is strengthened by a photograph in one of three giant albums, made with love by Gayle, the bride that day, which is why I believe memories should be preserved in a tangible way. The memory of the people I have loved dearly and the places I've been are all preserved.

MORE THAN JUST A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Hi, I'm Shannon. While I love capturing moments that become memories, I also care deeply about making people feel good. I personally know how I feel when a camera is pointed in my direction and how much effort it can take to feel camera ready so I love to put time and energy into learning more about you so you feel comfortable and the most prepared in these vulnerable moments.
I love to find the positives in every circumstance. On the wedding day, I always come prepared with handy little tools, you'd never know you needed. I am always resourceful and innovative in any situation.
When I'm not celebrating with my couples, I'm at home with my family. I have two little boys who love to make sure I can never check cleaning off my to-do list, but they are always making me feel loved. I have a garden for flowers and veggies and chickens that get to roam our 7 acres. When I'm out and about, I just might be out eating my weight in sushi or strolling Costco with my best friends. In between all of that, I'm creating all the great ways I can make your vision come to life.
